Basic horse care involves many aspects which are important for a horse to maintain a healthy way of living.

In the wild horses look after themselves but the domestic horse needs our help and care.

When you care for a horse daily checks are important. Horses should ideally be checked in the morning and evening.

Horses like routine and are extremely good time keepers. You will often find them ready and waiting at feed times.

They become accustomed to the way things are done, so it is a good idea to have a routine for things such as grooming, tacking up and feeding and then stick with it.
